Reports have escalated of apparent rifts between both star players — Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli after India suffered a loss at the first semi-final of this ICC World Cup against New Zealand.
As per a report by Hindi daily Dainik Jagran, the players are tasked with the captain Virat Kohli and head trainer Ravi Shastri within their’unilateral decisions’ and bias that has left the team divided into two factions, with one getting headed by Kohli and another by Rohit Sharma.
The report revealed further that the discrimination shown for the player chosen by the team management had divided the Men Blue following Vijay Shankar was selected from within Ambati Rayudu for the World Cup Squad’s No. 4.
Additionally, although Sharma and Jasprit Bumrah remained crucial variables for India’s superb performance in the tournament which gave them an overriding status, the remaining portion of the team could be falling prey to unfairness as the ones in the Virat Company’ are preferred on others.
On the flip side, KL Rahul who has had a rough patch, has the backing of the team direction for which he accomplishes a prejudice.
The analysis goes on to show that although there are cracks inside the structure, the rifts haven’t complicated that a significant battle could roll out.
